What is the ruling on placing the Mushaf (copy of the Qur’an) in the car with the intention of seeking protection from danger and envy, and does it provide protection from them? If not, then what is the way to repel harm from the car and its occupants?

The Mushaf (Qur'an) is a great blessing because it is the word of Allah, and some of the Salaf (pious predecessors) sought blessings from it. As for hanging it in the home or car to ward off harm, this falls under the ruling of hanging an amulet from the Qur'an, and scholars have differed on its permissibility. What is reported for repelling harm and protecting oneself from the evil of sorcerers and devils is the recitation of the Qur'an, especially Surat Al-Baqarah; based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Recite Surat Al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing and leaving it is a cause of regret, and the sorcerers cannot overcome it," and his saying: "Do not make your homes graves, for indeed Satan flees from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited." Similarly, adherence to the morning and evening remembrances, the sleep remembrances, and various supplications is, by Allah's permission, a protection from devils, knowing that supplications are answered according to the fulfillment of their conditions.
