What is the ruling on kissing the chin (the area below the lips) for mahrams, for non-mahrams, and for those of the same gender?

We have not found any statements from scholars regarding the ruling on a man kissing another man's mouth, or a woman kissing another woman's mouth. The Fiqh Encyclopedia states that it is not permissible for a man to kiss another man's mouth or hand, nor for a woman to kiss another woman, nor to embrace, nor for bodies to touch, if done with lust. This includes kissing the mouth with lust. However, if it is without lust, the apparent ruling is that it is disliked, unless there is a valid reason, such as returning from a journey. Al-Mulla Ali Al-Qari stated that embracing and kissing the face are disliked for those who are not returning from a journey.
