Is it permissible for the husband to compel his wife to stay at his family's home in his absence during her annual leave, when she is visiting her parents?

A husband is not allowed to compel his wife to visit his family or stay overnight with them, because that is not obligatory upon her. Her obedience to him is restricted by the limits of the Sharia. Understanding should prevail between the spouses; the husband should respect his wife's disinclination, and the wife should understand her husband's desire. It is advisable to comply with his request if there is no harm or corruption, such as the presence of non-mahram men with no possibility of having separate facilities in the house.
