Has Imam Malik permitted someone who missed the bowing of the last rak'ah, and thus that rak'ah was not counted for him, to wait and not join the congregation, then pull one of the worshippers to complete his prayer with him, or form a new congregation with other latecomers, in order to attain the reward of congregational prayer?

Most Maliki scholars hold that the virtue of congregational prayer is only attained by catching a complete rak'ah, contrary to the views of Ibn Rushd and Ibn Yunus. Whoever misses the bowing in the last rak'ah has missed the virtue of the congregation, but he is still commanded to join the Imam and will be rewarded for what he has caught. It is not permissible for him to pull someone aside or wait for a separate congregation. It is recommended for one who missed the congregation to repeat his prayer in another congregation if available, except for Maghrib and Isha after the Witr prayer.
