How is the Isha prayer performed for someone who has missed the first two rak'ahs, should they continue aloud or silently?

Scholars have differed regarding what prayer the follower (preceded) catches from the Imam's prayer; whether it is the first part of their prayer or the last part, based on three opinions. The reason for the disagreement is the presence of two narrations of the Hadith (definition): "What you catch, pray, and what you miss, complete" and "What you catch, pray, and what you miss, make up." Abu Hanifa and Ahmad adhered to the narration "make up," while Shafi'i followed the narration "complete," and Malik applied both. The prevailing view is that what the follower catches is the first part of their prayer, because the narrators of "complete" are more numerous and reliable, and because the making up mentioned in the Hadith is interpreted in terms of action, not in the technical judicial sense. Nevertheless, the disagreement in the matter is substantial and each has their perspective.
