Is it permissible for a thief to return part of the stolen money, on condition that his partner returns the remaining part later when money becomes available?

Theft is a grave sin, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, disavowed the thief and cursed him. Repentance from it is not complete unless all stolen items or their value are returned to their owners. If a person stole with another, he must pay the entire stolen amount if he is able to, and then he can seek reimbursement from his partner for his share; because partners in theft are guarantors for each other.
