Is it permissible to seek divorce due to psychological harm and the wife's inability to endure the husband's repeated infidelities and his desire to marry another, given the presence of five children, and the husband's beating and insulting her, despite her attempts to coexist and her patience running out?

If the husband frequently resorts to beating and insulting, he is abusive in companionship, and clear harm justifies seeking divorce. We advise the wife to pray for his righteousness and strive for reconciliation before rushing to seek divorce, and to seek help from Allah and from whoever she hopes can influence her husband. We also draw attention to two matters: it is not permissible for a Muslim to establish an emotional relationship outside the framework of a legitimate marriage, and a man's marriage to a second wife is permissible if he is capable of being just, but the husband should not use this as a means to provoke his wife.
