Is it permissible to supplicate for a bad matter to be transformed into good and actualized if it contains evil?

It is permissible for a Muslim to ask Allah for the good of an matter they do not know, and to seek refuge in Him from its evil, or to ask Him to put goodness in it, or to seek His protection from the evil within it. An example of this is the supplication of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when the wind blew: "O Allah, I ask You for its good, the good of what is in it, and the good of what it has been sent with, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of what is in it, and the evil of what it has been sent with." And when marrying or purchasing a servant: "O Allah, I ask You for her good, and the good of what You have created her upon, and I seek refuge in You from her evil, and the evil of what You have created her upon."
