What is required of one who suffers from obsessive doubts about how to pronounce the letter Ḍād, finds differences in its pronunciation among reciters, and sometimes errs in pronouncing it during prayer by touching the teeth?

"Waswasah" (whispers/obsessive thoughts) is one of the worst ailments that corrupt both one's religion and worldly life. One must turn away from it and not pay any attention to it. The Qur'an should be recited in a normal, natural manner, without affectation or extremism. Scholars have warned against waswasah in general, and particularly concerning the articulation points of letters (makharij al-huruf), as Iblis might deceive the worshipper, leading them outside the etiquette of prayer. The imams disliked extremism and exaggeration in pronouncing letters. It was not the Prophet's (peace be upon him) Sunnah to be extreme, pompous, or obsessive in articulating letters. Therefore, one must abandon these waswasah and present their recitation to a scholar knowledgeable in it, and not give any importance to these obsessive thoughts.
