Supplication (du'a) at the time of the is answered because the gates of heaven are opened and supplication is answered at that moment, as has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Ibn 'Umar also commanded supplicating when the mu'adhdhins call the adhan.
