If the heirs are limited to those mentioned, then the wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant (heir-apparent). The daughter receives one-half because she is the only one. The son's daughter receives one-sixth to complete the two-thirds junto with the daughter. The remainder goes to the two sons of the son's son by way of ta'sib (residuary inheritance) equally. The full brother, full sisters, and the two sons of the full brother receive nothing, as they are excluded by the male lineal descendant (heir-apparent). As for the missing son's daughter, her case should be referred to the court to determine her fate. It is advisable to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia courts for investigation before distribution.
