Is it permissible to build a mosque resembling the Prophet's Mosque, along with chambers similar to those of his wives, for the purpose of contemplating his way of life (peace be upon him), while being careful that ignorant people do not take it as a sacred place?

Building mosques is among the greatest acts of devotion, and the builder receives a great reward. However, today in cities, one should not build a very small mosque that people would disdain, for the building materials and design are not divinely ordained but rather depend on the circumstances of the people. It is better to build a mosque that accommodates the congregation and is desirable, while ensuring its cleanliness and maintenance without extravagance in construction and ornamentation. Building rooms around the mosque without benefit is a waste of money. Reminding people of the lives of the Prophet and his companions should be done through admonition, not by depicting their lives in architecture.
