Allah Almighty created man for His worship, as He says: "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." The reality of worship is the love of Allah, glorified and exalted be He, and humbling oneself and submitting to Him. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that worship is based on two fundamental pillars: perfect love and perfect humility.
