Is it permissible for someone performing Umrah for the first time to also perform Umrah on behalf of more than one other person?
Repeating during a single journey, whether for oneself or on behalf of another, is not from the nor the practice of the righteous predecessors. The principle is that each Umrah requires a separate journey. Scholars have unanimously agreed that the valid Umrah is for those arriving in Makkah.
It is not permissible for someone who is in Makkah to go out to Tan'im for Umrah, except in special cases such as for a menstruating woman like Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her. However, if someone leaves Makkah for a need and then returns, they may perform Umrah. It is also permissible for someone who has come from distant lands and finds it difficult to return to perform Umrah from Tan'im on behalf of another.
It is permissible to perform Umrah on behalf of another if they are unable due to old age or an incurable illness, or if they are deceased, provided that the one performing Umrah has already performed Umrah for themselves first.
