Can a student who is twenty-five years old, has only been committed for two and a half years, and has only memorized three parts of the Qur’an seek religious knowledge with the aim of removing ignorance from himself and worshipping Allah with knowledge, and then from those around him?
Reaching the age of twenty-five is not an obstacle to seeking sacred knowledge. Rather, you must strive to memorize the Book of Allah, the Sunnah, and scholarly texts, study the books of the people of knowledge, and adhere to righteous scholars. The path of knowledge is long, but it is made easy for whomever Allah makes it easy for. Do not let what has passed of your life deter you, for great Companions and others learned knowledge at an advanced age and became imams.
