ما هي الأدلة أو الروايات الصحيحة على مجوسية أبي لؤلؤة؟

Muslims are in agreement about the disbelief (kufr) of Abu Lu'lu'ah, the killer of Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him. However, they differed regarding his religion. The well-known view is that he was a Zoroastrian (Magian), while it was also said that he was a Christian. Ibn Taymiyyah mentions that Abu Lu'lu'ah killed Umar out of hatred for Islam and its people, and out of love for the Zoroastrians, seeking revenge for the disbelievers. It is established that Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, was pleased when he learned that his killer was a Zoroastrian and not a Muslim, and he said: "Praise be to Allah who did not test me with someone who would dispute with me saying 'there is no god but Allah'."
