The answer

If a man divorces his wife after a valid seclusion ( sahihah) and they do not claim intercourse, she is irrevocably divorced from him according to the majority of scholars. He cannot take her back except with a new contract, unless the divorce was not threefold. As for the Hanbalis, they permit taking her back, and they consider a divorce pronounced during menstruation, by a drunk person, or by an angry person to be valid if the person was aware of what they were saying. The questioner is advised to refer to the court. The husband is advised to repent from using hashish and speaking with non- women, and to be wary of intense anger.
