The answer

Love of Allah is the foundation of hope in Him and adherence to His law, as His (Exalted be He) saying attests: "Say, 'If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you'." And the fear of Allah is a motivator for performing acts of obedience and avoiding sins, and through it, the people of Paradise will triumph.

Sins and transgressions may be a cause for a bad situation, whereas faith and obedience are a cause for happiness. Therefore, one must repent, turn to Allah, and seek good companionship.

As for whoever is subjected to slander, Allah will defend him, and negative generalizations about people should not be made. Abandoning prayer, however, is dangerous and may lead to minor disbelief, yet this does not diminish its severity. Suicide is forbidden, and its consequence is severe torment in Hellfire.

Retaliating against someone who harms you is permissible, but harming guests places the mother in an embarrassing situation and is considered disobedience to parents.
