The question

Will my repentance to Allah for recording my neighbor and his wife during an intimate relationship and sending it to my friends at the age of fourteen, knowing that I have moved out of the house, be enough to expiate my sin and avoid entering Hellfire?

The answer

Repentance involves abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it. However, if the sin pertains to a human right, then it is obligatory to restore it or seek absolution from the person. But concerning intangible rights, such as violating one’s honor, it is not necessary to seek absolution from the person; rather, repentance and seeking forgiveness for them suffice, especially if seeking absolution would lead to mischief. Al-Ghazali stated that revealing such a matter would cause discord; instead, one should turn to Allah Almighty. A sincere repentance is accepted, by Allah’s will, and the one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin, so they will not be punished in this world or the Hereafter.
