Is what is forbidden more or what is permissible in this world?

Allah has permitted for His servants all that benefits them from existing things, except for what a proof has been revealed to prohibit. The default rule in customs and transactions is permissibility, because what Allah has permitted is more abundant than what He has forbidden. Thus, it is impossible to enumerate the permissible due to its vastness, unlike the prohibited, which Allah has clarified and detailed in the Noble Qur’an, and which can be enumerated. Therefore, the default rule for everything is permissibility until a proof is found that removes it from permissibility to prohibition or dislike.
