Is it permissible to perform the obligatory prayer on a means of transport such as a vehicle, a train, an airplane, or horseback?

If the time for an obligatory prayer overtakes a person while they are on a riding animal, and they are able to dismount to pray standing within its prescribed time, then it is obligatory for them to do so. However, if they fear that the prayer time will elapse and they are unable to dismount, they should pray in their current state, based on the Almighty’s saying: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity," and "So fear Allah as much as you are able," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "When I command you to do something, do of it as much as you are able." The most complete approach is for them to repeat this prayer after dismounting.
