Do unintentional sexual thoughts and vaginal discharge resulting from obsessive thoughts invalidate fasting and prayer?

The cure for obsessive thoughts is to ignore them and not pay attention to them. Visible emissions of madhi necessitate wudu' and purification of the body and clothes it touched, but this is only required upon absolute certainty of its emission. If the emission of madhi is continuous to the extent that it is impossible to perform salat with proper purification, then one should take precautions after istinja' and perform wudu' for each prayer after its time has begun, and pray the obligatory and supererogatory prayers with it; what comes out thereafter does not matter. Normal discharges that occur without a cause are vaginal secretions. Thoughts do not invalidate fasting, even if they lead to the emission of maniy; the emission of maniy merely from thought does not invalidate fasting. Prayer is not invalidated merely by thoughts, and it is only invalidated upon certainty of the emission of something that nullifies purity, such as madhi or maniy; if there is doubt, it should be disregarded. Upon certainty of the emission of maniy, ghusl is required; upon certainty of the emission of madhi, istinja' and wudu' are required. For one afflicted with incontinence, wudu' is required for each prayer after its time has begun. When in doubt about what has been emitted, one may choose its ruling, and this is preferable for the one who suffers from obsessive thoughts.
