Whoever is afflicted in this world with something that causes them a miserable life and hardship will receive great good and reward from Allah if they are patient and seek recompense, for calamities expiate sins and elevate ranks. Associating with a spouse of this type carries a great reward because it is one of the most difficult matters. And life itself is all a trial and test. The has given the spouses the option to annul the marriage if one of them has a repellent defect, such as insanity, unless that defect was accepted.
