"Bay' al-Wafa" (sale of fidelity) is the sale of property on condition that the buyer returns the sold item if the seller returns the price. This is a loan that draws a benefit, and a circumvention of Riba (usury). The majority of scholars have ruled it invalid and that this contract is not permissible in Islamic law.
