What is the ruling of Islamic law on participating in competitions that rely on luck and raffles to win prizes, and is it a sin to use prizes won by others in such competitions?

There is no objection to entering draws for vouchers obtained with the purchase of goods, provided that the buyer does not purchase the item solely for the competition without needing it, and that they purchase it at its market price without any increase. This is based on the decision of the Islamic Fiqh Academy, which stipulated the permissibility for prize providers to benefit from promoting their goods only, without financial gain, provided that the value of the prizes or part of them does not come from the contestants, and that there is no deception, fraud, or betrayal of consumers in the promotion. However, if the competition includes impermissible elements, it is not permissible to participate in it or benefit from it.
