What is the ruling on a wife exaggerating in showing love to her husband in front of his brothers and her husband's brothers? And what should a wife do if her husband asks her to imitate these actions in front of his family and brothers?

Indeed, a woman's display of her adornment, or her softening of speech, or her making her voice delicate, or her embracing her husband in front of his brothers or relatives, are among the gravest abominations that lead to heart disease, jealousy, envy, and a man's attachment to what Allah has forbidden. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, issued a severe warning against this, saying: "Beware of entering upon women." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, what about the brother-in-law?" He said: "The brother-in-law is death." (Agreed upon). The brother-in-law (al-hamu) is the husband's brother or his relative, like a paternal cousin. Seclusion with a husband's relative is more dangerous than seclusion with a stranger, because he can reach the woman and seclude himself with her without objection. The Sharia came to block the means leading to the forbidden, so it commanded lowering the gaze and adhering to the hijab in front of non-mahrams, in order to protect the woman, preserve the family, and prevent temptation. A woman must fear Allah, adhere to the hijab in front of non-mahrams, avoid softening her speech, and remain steadfast in this, even if the husband dislikes it, for "there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator."
