The answer

Humans need guidance and direction, and Allah has revealed scriptures and sent messengers for this purpose. It is incumbent upon a Muslim to acquire beneficial knowledge available from sincere scholars and to associate with the righteous. A human being does not know everything and needs someone to help him. A person's destiny with Allah is according to his deeds, for "So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." The obedient believer will have Paradise, and the fate of one who commits major sins is subject to Allah's will if he does not repent. As for the polytheists, Paradise is forbidden to them, and their abode is the Fire.
