What is the ruling on praying behind an Imam who distorts the Quran, lies, and writes amulets, and is it permissible to resort to force to remove him, and is establishing a second congregational prayer after his prayer valid?

We have previously clarified the criteria for errors (laḥn) that invalidate an imam's prayer, and the ruling on the prayer of those following him. If it becomes clear that the imam's prayer is invalid, then report the matter to the Ministry of Endowments. If they do not respond, then the imam's continued presence, despite the invalidity of praying behind him, is a grave abomination (munkar). It is permissible to resort to force to remove him—this falls under changing the abomination by hand—if other means are ineffective, provided that it does not lead to a greater abomination, that the one denouncing is capable, does not expose himself to great tribulation, and removes the abomination with the easiest possible means. If you are unable to replace the imam, there is no harm in establishing another congregational prayer in the mosque after his congregation. If you are prevented, then abandon praying in that mosque and seek another.
