Do charity, Hajj, and supplication benefit the deceased who did not pray out of ignorance?

It is permissible to give charity, perform Hajj, and supplicate for a father who did not pray out of ignorance, not denial, for he is excused by his ignorance. Ibn Qudamah and Al-Nawawi mentioned that one who abandons prayer does not commit disbelief if he is ignorant of its obligation, such as a new convert to Islam or one raised in a remote desert far from cities. Based on this, this father does not fall under the disagreement regarding the disbelief of one who abandons prayer. It is hoped that this will benefit him, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: a continuous charity, or knowledge from which benefit is acquired, or a righteous child who supplicates for him."
