Are the yellow or whitish discharges that tend towards yellow, and continue to flow immediately after the blood in the last days of the menstrual period, considered part of menstruation, necessitating waiting for their cessation before performing ghusl, or are they considered a sign of purity due to their nature resembling normal discharges during days of purity?

Yellowish and brownish discharges are considered menses if they are connected to blood or occur during the usual period. As long as the yellowish discharge is connected to blood, the woman is menstruating. If it stops, a ritual bath (ghusl) becomes obligatory. Any yellowish or brownish discharge that appears thereafter, as long as it is outside the usual period, is not to be considered. There is no requirement to wait a full day to confirm dryness. As for white discharges, they are not menses, and the woman is considered pure if she sees dryness, even if these moistures are present. If the duration of the blood and its associated yellowish discharge exceeds fifteen days, the woman is considered to have prolonged bleeding (istihada).
