Is using a brother's sandals at home considered imitating men, and is it permissible to take any available sandals – whether for a man or a woman – when one's own sandals are not present?

The Messenger of Allah, Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, cursed men who imitate women and women who imitate men. This includes their dress, speech, and movements. A specific curse was also reported for a woman who wears footwear specific to men, due to its resemblance to men. It is obligatory to avoid wearing footwear specific to men, because the prohibited imitation does not necessitate the intention to imitate.
