Is it permissible to imagine love stories between a young man and a young woman in the imagination only, knowing that these stories do not contain an illicit relationship?

There is no accountability for mere imaginations and thoughts as long as they do not transform into actions or words, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, has pardoned for my Ummah what they whisper to themselves, as long as they do not act upon it or speak of it." However, indulging in them opens a door to evil and incites lust, and many sins are caused by these thoughts. Therefore, one must repel the initial thought before it transforms into an idea, then a desire, then a firm intention, then an action, and then a habit. It is recommended to invest time in good deeds, associate with righteous women, cooperate with them, and hasten to marriage due to the immense benefits it holds. It is permissible for a woman to seek husbands and offer herself within the bounds of Islamic etiquette.
