The answer

Praiseworthy anger is that which is for the sake of Allah when His sacred limits are violated. Blameworthy anger is that which is for worldly matters, especially if it leads to harm. When dealing with an angry person according to religious law, one should share in his anger for the sake of Allah and consider what should be done. As for one who gets angry for himself or for worldly matters and holds the religion in high esteem, he should be reminded of his Lord and of the Prophet's advice, "Do not get angry." If the angry person does not respect religious law and directs his anger towards you, silence is best until his anger subsides, for an angry person is like a drunkard, not to be held accountable for what he says. If the angry person is the wife, she should be patient and not respond, delaying reconciliation until he calms down. If the angry person is a father, a manager, or a neighbor, it is most appropriate to keep the other party away from him and to humor his threats without executing them.
