The permissibility of money earned from programming depends on the programming itself. If it is permissible, then the profit from it is permissible, regardless of the method of learning or the source of the money spent on education. As for the ill-gotten money that was spent, if it was acquired through forbidden means like usury, then repentance is sufficient. But if it was stolen or usurped, it must be returned to its owner along with repentance.
