Does the failure to prolong "لا أعبد" (I do not worship) in Surat Al-Kafiroon distort the meaning and make the "Lam" (ل) appear as a Lam of emphasis, thereby suggesting – God forbid – an affirmation of worship?

Abandoning the Madd (lengthening) occurs in two situations: First, abandoning the subsidiary Madd, such as al-Madd al-Munfasil, and limiting it to the natural Madd of two vowel counts. This does not distort the meaning. Second, abandoning the natural Madd, whereby the lam would be a vowel followed by a hamza. This distorts and corrupts the meaning, and it must be corrected.
