Is it permissible to film and edit scenes of animate beings for the purpose of producing wholesome films free of prohibitions? And is it permissible to use the daff (tambourine) and vocalizations as rhythm, knowing that some words like "worthless" or "gets drunk" might be used to clarify the idea?

We issue a fatwa permitting the production of purposeful films that are free from Sharia prohibitions. The use of the aforementioned words is not among the prohibitions as long as it is within an appropriate context, as are human voices and sound effects that are distinct from the sounds of prohibited musical instruments. As for the hand drum (daff), there is a difference of opinion and elaboration regarding it.
