What is meant by the prohibition of entering upon women, and does it mean not to be in seclusion (khalwa) with them, or is it forbidden to enter a place where women are present?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) prohibited entering upon women if it leads to falling into something forbidden, such as unlawful seclusion (khalwa) or a woman uncovering herself. Merely entering a place where there are women is not forbidden if there is no fear of temptation (fitnah). Thus, when the accusation is removed and suspicion is dispelled, the prohibition is lifted. The entry must be with trustworthy company, to block the means to khalwa and to دفعًا للتهمة.
