Are repentance and drawing closer to Allah through righteous deeds such as charity, fasting, reciting the Quran, and maintaining prayer among the reasons for the acceptance of supplications and the دفع of illnesses?

Acts of obedience are among the reasons for the acceptance of supplication, as Allah Almighty says: "And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then I am indeed near. I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me and believe in Me, that they may be guided." Thus, responding to Allah by drawing near to Him through acts of obedience is a reason for the acceptance of a servant's supplication. And Sadaqat (charitable deeds) ward off calamities, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Acts of kindness protect against evil fates."
