ما المقصود بـ "الأقرأ لكتاب الله" في الحديث الذي يذكر صفات الإمام؟

The one most entitled to lead the prayer (Imamah) is the one who is best at reciting the Book of Allah. "Best at reciting" encompasses two meanings: the one who has memorized the most of the Quran, and the one who has the best recitation (tajwid). If they are equal in memorization, the one with the better recitation is preferred. If they are equal in the quality of recitation, the one who has memorized more is preferred. Some scholars held that the one who has memorized more is preferred over the one with the better recitation. The wisdom behind this is that recitation is a pillar of the prayer.
