What is the ruling on the death of a chick that the father ordered to be placed in the sun with the intention of benefiting it, and does sin befall the father for that?

The Sharia came with commands to be kind to animals and prohibitions against torturing them or killing them without purpose. Prophetic traditions indicate the prohibition of torturing and destroying animals. If your father intended to benefit the chick and did not intend to kill or harm it, then there is no blame upon him, as Allah Almighty says: (And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred, but [only for] what your hearts intended) Al-Ahzab/5.
