What is the ruling on the Rafidah's statement regarding the infallibility of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from every flaw and even from what is contrary to what is better, and the infallibility of the twelve Imams after him?

The preponderant view among the majority of scholars is that prophets are infallible with regard to major sins, but not minor sins, though they are not left to persist in them. There is no harm for one who believes in their infallibility from minor sins, as the issue is one of scholarly disagreement. However, believing in infallibility for anyone other than the prophets, even if they are among the best of people, is a corrupt belief and a misguidance, because infallibility is not for anyone other than the prophets, peace be upon them. As for anyone other than the prophets, their statements can be accepted or rejected.
