The angels will die, and the proof for this is Allah's saying, "Everything will perish except His Face." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the verse 'Everyone upon it will perish' was revealed, the angels said, 'The inhabitants of the earth have perished.' Then the verse 'Everything will perish except His Face' was revealed, and the angels became certain of perishing."
