Is a father's injustice to his son considered a justification for the son's disobedience or lack of affection towards him, taking into account the prohibition of undutifulness to parents?

The right of a father is great and is not forfeited by his injustice. Allah has commanded companionship with parents with kindness, even if they enjoin shirk (polytheism). One must show filial piety to a father even if he is unjust, because Allah is not pleased with a servant until his parents are pleased with him. To help with showing filial piety to a father, one should strive against the self, seek assistance from Allah, and remember the virtue of honoring parents and its immense reward, for it is one of the causes for entering Paradise and attaining Allah's pleasure. "The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the father, and His displeasure is in his displeasure," and "The father is the middle gate of Paradise."
