Righteous deeds are all that God loves and approves of, including outward and inward sayings and actions, which are in accordance with Islamic law and accompanied by sincerity. Righteous deeds include faith in God; performing prayer on time with all its pillars and obligations; performing a righteous Hajj from lawful money, free from sin and hypocrisy; honoring parents and obeying them in matters that are not sinful, and serving them; striving in the way of God to uphold monotheism; loving and hating for the sake of God; reciting the Qur'an; persisting in acts of obedience, even if small; fulfilling trusts; forgiving people; being truthful in speech; spending in the way of God; refraining from harming Muslims with tongue and hand; feeding the poor; spreading peace; helping those in need and the ignorant; and abandoning evil. It is mentioned in the Hadith that these qualities deliver their possessor and lead them by the hand to Paradise.
