Is it permissible to sever ties with half-sisters and their children due to inheritance disputes?

Maintaining kinship ties is obligatory, and severing them is forbidden, considered among the major sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A severer of kinship will not enter Paradise." Maintaining ties with brothers, sisters, and their children is obligatory. Disputes over inheritance do not justify severing kinship ties.
