How am I to know that God has accepted my repentance so that I may repent to Him, in affirmation of God Almighty’s saying: "Then He turned to them that they might repent?"

The repentance of a servant is enveloped by two acts of repentance from Allah Almighty: The first is prior to the servant's repentance, which is His granting of success and inspiring them to repent, and this is known by its occurrence and realization from the servant. The second is after the servant's repentance, which is Allah's acceptance of that repentance and His forgiveness of the sin. Thus, Allah repents to the servant first by His permission and granting of success, so that they may prepare for repentance, and then He repents to them a second time by accepting and rewarding them.
