Is it permissible in Islamic law for someone afflicted with scruples (waswas) to marry?

Waswas (obsessive whispering/thoughts) is not an impediment to marriage and is not considered among the defects that necessitate the option of annulment. If you are capable and have a desire to marry, then proceed with it, for it protects one's chastity, lowers one's gaze, and is a means for procreation.
