There is no harm in distributing booklets with the faces obscured because if the head and face are not clear in a picture, it is not considered a true image. This is supported by the hadith: "The image is the head, so if the head is cut off, it is not an image." Even if we assume it is a complete image, it appears permissible due to the educational benefit.
