Expediting during the [Zakat] year is permissible according to the majority of scholars, especially if there is a benefit [in doing so]. The Zakat year of the wealth does not change by expediting [the payment], and the second year remains like the first. It is also permissible to give Zakat to organizations that undertake its collection for afflicted Muslims.
