Did any of the trusted scholars state, "By Allah, I shall discipline you, O soul!" and does it entail a prohibition? And does the oath in the title mean compelling members to participate in the campaign?

It is permissible for a person to say to himself, "I shall discipline you, O self," if the discipline of the self conforms to the rulings of the religion, for religion was legislated to refine and purify souls. Imam Al-Ajurri mentioned that the proof for disciplining the self is found in the Quran, the Sunnah, and the sayings of Muslim scholars, and he cited the Almighty's saying: (Protect yourselves and your families from a Fire), interpreting it as "Discipline yourselves and your families." There is no objection to using this phrase as a title for a group, as long as it does not include anything religiously forbidden. Similar titles can be chosen, such as "Discipline of the Self" or "Discipline of Souls." The mentioned oath is not considered a compulsion to subscribe, but rather an acceptance of the group's conditions.
